AID CoV-iSpot SARS-CoV-2 FluoroSpot Assay

The EliSpot assay (enzyme-linked immuno-spot assay) is capable of detecting T-cell reactions at the single-cell level and thereby characterizing the individual immune response of infected persons. The FluoroSpot assay is a further development of this technology and enables the detection of polyfunctional T cells.

Detection of cytokine secretion by T cells stimulated with specific coronavirus antigens provides a highly differentiated picture of the immune response, making it possible to illustrate the development of disease progression and immunity after infection.

The CoV-iSpot developed by AID detects the IFN-γ and IL-2 response of pathogen-specific activated T cells against Coronaviridae (PAN-Corona peptide mix) and/or specifically against SARS-CoV-2 (SARS-CoV-2 peptide mix).

Also available as AID CoV-iSpot pure, which allows 24 instead of 12 patients to be tested in parallel by omitting the PAN-Corona peptide mix.
